O Centro Caraívas é o receptivo para Reserva do Vale da Dhyana, uma reserva particular de sete alqueires (336.000 m2) localizada na Serra dos Pireneus, a 120 km de Brasília, a 10 Km da histórica cidade de Pirenópolis (tombada pelo IPHAN), e a 2 Km do Parque Estadual dos Pireneus. Estamos dentro da APA dos Pireneus (área de preservação ambiental), ao longo do Córrego do Barriguda. É uma reserva particular composta de matas de galeria e cerrado, preservada pela sua beleza singular, antiga formação geológica e rica bio-diversidade.

Centro Caraívas is the reception area for the Vale da Dhyana Ecological Reserve, a seventy-acre property of gallery forest and Cerrado in the Brazilian central plateau, along the Barriguda Creek, which supplies the water for the town of Pirenopolis -Pop: 13,000. The reserve is within the Serra dos Pireneus APA (Area of Environmental Protection),an area preserved for its natural beauty, ancient geological formations and rich biodiversity,and is located one mile from Pireneus State Park, 6 miles from the historic town of Pirenópolis, and 70 miles southwest of Brasília.

Thirty acres of this property were bought twenty years ago for preservation purposes. The remaining forty acres have been acquired recently in order to expand the reserve, implement reforestation projects, and to create wildlife corridors connecting other parts of gallery forest in neighboring properties that still remain undisturbed to this day.

Centro Caraívas Reserve, where the unique vegetation of the Cerrado abounds, is home to exotic gardens, forests and a rich biodiversity of flowers, birds, mammals and butterflies, and the beautiful Dhyana waterfall. The reserve is now in the process of becoming an RPPN–Private Reserve of the Natural Patrimony, and is open for visits offering beautiful accommodations and a cozy restaurant.
